Psychological Therapy Services for under-serviced Groups

Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new service provider for the provision of Psychological Therapy Services for under-serviced Groups. From 1 October 2017, Marathon Health will provide services under a new model to those individuals requiring primary mental health care who are not likely to be able to have their needs met through Medicare subsidised mental health services.

Service Mapping for Chronic Care Survey

WNSW PHN together with ConNetica Consulting are conducting a pilot study that will apply an internationally standardised and validated classification tool to map chronic care provision in Dubbo and Coonamble. Support for the project is also being provided by the University of Sydney Brain and Mind Centre.

The doors to the new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) in Bathurst – a completely free service – have opened recently, just in time for Christmas.
The Bathurst Medicare UCC provides timely, fully bulk-billed urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions that need prompt attention but do not require a visit to the hospital emergency department.
