This month, The Wholesome Collective ran a series of cooking and nutrition classes in the towns of Forbes, Parkes, Canowindra, Eugowra, and Molong. Funded by the WNSW PHN Community Wellbeing grants, these classes were delivered to support communities affected by the 2022 floods, helping residents increase their wellbeing and community spirit through nutrition and healthy eating.

WNSW PHN delivered a second and final round of the $10K Telehealth Support Grant for Residential Aged Care Homes (RACH's) in late 2023 to facilities who hadn’t participated in first round grants . A total of 76%  (39 out of 51) RACHs applied for and received the Telehealth Support Grant with approximately a quarter of all RACHs in Western and Far West NSW not applying for the telehealth support grant for different reasons.

A new digital system for managing referrals statewide is being introduced in the Far West of NSW to enhance the referral process for patients, referrers, and clinicians in outpatient services. The Far West Local Health District (FWLHD) has collaborated with eHealth NSW and HealthLink to facilitate the electronic transmission of referrals (eReferrals) to designated FWLHD outpatient services. This service is initially being implemented in the Far West region and will be extended to Western NSW in the near future.

The vision of the program is to inspire and engage young Aboriginal &Torres Strait Islander people, and those from refugee backgrounds, using the medium of film. Students attend custom designed film workshops and create short documentary films uncovering the stories of local heroes.
