Many challenges persist in the implementation, sustainable use, and spread of digital health enablers in healthcare. These usually stem from factors beyond the technology itself, such as the highly regulated nature of healthcare, resistance by powerful clinicians, health system incentives, organisational or wider social factors that interact with technology. Perhaps the bigger challenge and barrier is people – both users in a healthcare setting and the patients who experience the technology.

The Let’s Get Literal About Digital Health podcast aims to break down complex digital health technologies, defining concepts that are relevant for clinicians and healthcare customers in their everyday work practices.

In this podcast series, WNSW PHN Senior Digital Health Officer, Brenton Jones, speaks to real GPs, nurses and specialists applying digital health practices to reveal real insights into what makes digital health practices beneficial. Brenton addresses technology implementation within healthcare organisations and local communities; the good, the bad and the ugly!
