This locally driven virtual education series aims to provide Aboriginal Health Professionals working in the WNSW PHN and WNSW LHD area with an opportunity to learn and yarn together with peers and key Public Health Unit presenters. This session will provide Aboriginal Health Professionals with knowledge and messages to share with mob around the adverse effects and dangers of vaping.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe what vaping is and why vaping is bad for your health.
  • Understand the legal aspects around vaping
  • Develop an understanding of brief intervention and how to implement this into yarning with clients
  • Understand the referral pathways to Quitline, how Quitline can assist their clients to cease smoking and how to order Quitline resources
