Update to Care Partnership – Diabetes funding support for Inca use in general practice
GP practices and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) who are using BP Premier clinical software are being offered a valuable opportunity to commence using Inca EVO software to trial new digital models of care before 30 June 2025. Inca EVO is a care planning tool designed to automate documentation and enable practices to create Medicare-compliant care plans. Inca EVO is a new and improved version of Inca Classic which some GPs and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) across Western NSW and Far West NSW are currently using or may have experienced previously. Inca EVO is also designed to help practices adapt quickly to forecasted chronic disease management changes under MyMedicare, scheduled to launch after July 2025.
This initiative, provided through the Care Partnership – Diabetes program, allows practices to adopt Inca EVO before the 30 June 2025 deadline. Those who express interest and begin implementation before that date can access the software for free until 30 June 2026. This offers practices an excellent chance to trial the software and enhance their digital health capabilities. Practices that wish to continue using Inca EVO beyond 30 June 2026 will need to negotiate a subscription directly with Precedence Health Care, the software provider.
Practices and ACCHSs interested in participating are encouraged to contact the Digital Health team at the Western NSW Primary Health Network to discuss the trial process and implementation of Inca. This is a prime opportunity for practices to streamline care planning, improve patient outcomes, and prepare for the future transition to Inca EVO.
