Presented by Dr Tom Gleeson, this presentation will take General Practitioners through the epidemiology and pathophysiology of multiple myeloma, including the relationship to MGUS and AL amyloidosis. Case presentations will highlight the typical (and less typical) presentations in both the primary care and emergency settings. There will be a brief overview of common treatments and their side effects before finishing with a look to the future of myeloma treatment in Australia.
