National Mental Health Commission to connect with communities

A national conversation on a 2030 Vision for mental health and suicide prevention, known as the Connections project, has been launched by the National Mental Health Commission. From this week the Commission will be visiting communities in 23 cities and towns across Australia during July, August and September for their input into this national conversation. They will be visiting Broken Hill and Bathurst in August.

The doors to the new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) in Bathurst – a completely free service – have opened recently, just in time for Christmas.
The Bathurst Medicare UCC provides timely, fully bulk-billed urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions that need prompt attention but do not require a visit to the hospital emergency department.
