Two thirds of Australians will develop some form of skin cancer by the time they reach retirement age. GPs play a critical role in the early diagnosis and management of skin cancer in a general practice setting. This session will explore the identification of danger zones for facial and neck surgery, interpretation of histopathology results following excisions, appropriate wound care post-surgery and will incorporate a hands-on practical session to demonstrate (and practice) how to complete superficial and deep suturing of skin defects.
