Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course - Newcastle

A free training course for general practitioners, other medical practitioners, & nurse practitioners to safely provide opioid pharmacotherapies.
The University of Sydney is hosting a free training course on behalf of the NSW Ministry of Health in Newcastle for prescribers to learn more about how to safely prescribe opioid pharmacotherapies (methadone and buprenorphine) for opioid dependence.
The Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) is a freecourse that also allows you to be recognised as accredited prescriber of opioid pharmacotherapies in NSW.
The course will be presented by Dr Ian Chaussivert of Drug and Alcohol Services at Central Coast LHD, and Dr Arvind Kendurkar of Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services at Hunter New England LHD.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided throughout the day, and free parking will be provided at the venue.
