Registered with Provider Connect Australia™ yet?

Help support a better-connected health ecosystem by registering your general practice business in Provider Connect Australia™ (PCA™) and publishing the information to business partners. The more general practices are registered in PCA™, sharing their information with their business partners, the better interoperability becomes, helping to improve continuity of care. PCA™ plays a crucial role in improving efficiency within the healthcare system by facilitating seamless communication and information exchange between healthcare providers, communication providers, professional bodies, and service directories. By automating and standardising the update process, PCA™ helps ensure that provider information remains accurate and up to date, improving the quality of care delivered to consumers.

As your PHN we look forward to receiving updates from you through PCA™. It’s a safer, more secure and efficient means of sharing information about you with us.

Registering with Provider Connect Australia™ (PCA™)

There are four key steps for PCA registration:

1. Read the pre-registration checklist

  • Ensure you have a PRODA account to access PCA.
  • Prior to registering your organisation in PCA you will need:
    • Your organisation’s ABN
    • Postal address, phone and fax numbers, website address, organisation email address, and an email address for legal notices
    • HPI-O number

2. Register your organisation

  • Your Organisation Maintenance Officer (OMO) can complete the registration process via PRODA once nominated by the Responsible Officer (RO – usually the CEO/business) owner)

3. Set up your organisation

  • Remember to choose us as one of the business partners you will publish your information to. All current PCA business partners are listed on the PCA website. To gain the most value from PCA make sure you publish to other relevant business partners.
  • If you’re practice is already listed on The National Health Service Directory (NHSD), then follow steps to Import services from NHSD

4. Maintain organisation details

  • Updates in PCA are published to your nominated business partners.

When you are ready to complete your registration, you can follow the Agency’s step-by-step guide to register for PCA or refer to our interactive PDF guide
