The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has developed the Standards for general practices (5th Edition Standards) with the purpose of protecting patients from harm by improving the quality and safety of health services. The Standards also support general practices in identifying and addressing any gaps in their systems and processes.

Accreditation is a benchmark for quality care and risk management in Australian general practices. This is a critical process for healthcare practitioners in Western NSW. At Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN), we are dedicated to guiding and supporting general practices in achieving and maintaining their general practice Accreditation, so they can deliver high-quality care to their communities.

Whether you’re preparing for your first Accreditation or re-accreditation, our Practice Development team provide assistance to general practices through visits, phone support and resource provision. Together, we can help your practice meet the healthcare Accreditation standards and provide a better healthcare experience for your patients.
