Description
This virtual education activity has been developed in response to the current Western NSW LHD Syphilis Alert across Western NSW.
With syphilis notifications on the rise, GPs play a key role in early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of complications and transmission.
This practical session will provide an overview of the clinical stages of syphilis, how to order and interpret syphilis serology and navigate current evidence-based management and treatment options.
Dr Vickers will also discuss common pitfalls and red flags, when to seek specialist advice, and how and when to refer to sexual health services.
