This face-to-face Spirometry Training Course provides comprehensive training in the application, measurement and interpretation of expiratory spirometry in general practice. This 6-hour (excluding breaks) interactive workshop includes hands-on components to allow participants to apply their new knowledge in a practical setting.

Learning Outcomes
- Identify the clinical indications where spirometry is recommended
- Demonstrate how to correctly perform a spirometry test using role play and peer review
- Interpret spirometry results to differentiate between respiratory conditions, such as asthma & COPD
- Assess practice quality assurance procedures for spirometry

This training course FREE (fully funded by the WNSW PHN). Places are limited to 12 participants/session. Morning tea and luch will be provided
Spirometry machines
You are encouraged to bring your practice’s spirometry machine (and a few mouthpieces if possible) for the small group practical session
