Pressure Injury Prevention & Management in Spinal Cord Injuries

Pressure injuries are common in the SCI population and they can have a significant impact on the person’s overall quality of life.

This session will provide an overview of pressure injuries including:

  • Risk factors;
  • Prevention;
  • Identification of causes;
  • Management principles;
  • Relevant resources;

Attendees will gain:

  • Knowledge of risk factors and strategies for minimising pressure injury risk.
  • Practical application strategies to support clients with pressure injury prevention and management.
  • Awareness of resources, evidence and specialist services available and how these can be used in your clinical practice.

In addition, there will be time to ask questions and interact with the presenters at the end of the session.
