This Mental Health focused information session is designed to update GPs on the latest local services, referral pathways, resources and support options related to mental health, suicide prevention and eating disorders. This session aims to share local knowledge and resources to enable GPs to provide coordinated, informed and supportive care for patients experiencing mental health challenges.

- Overview of Mental health referral processes within the Far West Local Health District (FWLHD)
- Local support services for both patients & clinicians
- The role of Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) and Safe Haven in suicide prevention
- Introduction to the Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre and its services
- Resources for the prevention, screening, diagnosis and management of eating disorders
- Available support to form an eating disorders treatment team & to navigate referral pathways

This is a GP and Registrar focused session, however, other health professionals and health-related students are more than welcome to attend
