This Diabetes Education Workshop series will be delivered across two locations in Western NSW and Far West NSW in 2026. The first will be held in Wentworth NSW on Wednesday 13 May 2026 and the second will be held in Dubbo on Friday 12 June 2026.

This workshop is open to anyone working in or supporting diabetes care, including:
- Aboriginal Health Workers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
- Nurses
- Allied Health Professionals
- Community Health Staff
- Diabetes Educators
- Other health professionals and community-based staff with an interest in diabetes care

Each workshop includes a mix of practical skills and knowledge, including:
- Core diabetes knowledge refreshers
- Blood glucose monitoring and device education
- Acute complications recognition and response
- Injection techniques and medication safety
- Foot care and screening
- Health literacy and teach-back strategies
- Multidisciplinary care and referral pathways
- Medicare and local service context
Also includes opportunities to connect with others working locally and trade displays over lunch.
Support for travel
