This educational session will offer an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in both children and adults with a focus on symptoms, screening, identification and current controversies. The session will also include a brief introduction to the intersections of ASD with gender dysphoria as well as a discussion of ASD within the broader context of neurodivergence.

- Explain the role of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in meeting the growing demand for ASD-related supports and services
- Discuss the intersection of gender dysphoria and neurodivergence, with a focus on its relevance to individuals with ASD
