Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the considerations required to support immunisation protection for immuno-compromised people
  • Discuss current advice for COVID-19, influenza, pneumococcal and RSV infections and the effective role vaccination plays in reducing disease spread
  • Explain how to identify and safely manage an anaphylactic event following immunisation
  • Recognise the importance of using AIR reports as a tool to identify over-due Aboriginal childhood vaccinations

Target Audience

Practice Nurses, Nurse Immunisers, Nurses (all settings), Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Pharmacists, students and all health professionals with an interest in this topic
