Dubbo ENT and Advanced Hearing
Description
This session will support GPs to enhance their assessment and management of common ear, nose and throat (ENT) presentations encountered in general practice. Participants will explore ENT red flags, alarming signs and appropriate referral pathways to specialist services.
In addition, Dr Ridha will provide practical guidance on the management of epistaxis, including a practical demonstration of how to use nasal packing techniques to manage ENT emergencies within the primary care setting.

Learning Outcomes
- Discuss the assessment, differential diagnosis and management of common otological disorders, complicated ear disease and red flag presentations in general practice
- Describe the investigation and management of disorders affecting the nose and paranasal sinuses in primary care
- Outline clinical assessment strategies, management considerations and appropriate referral pathways for paediatric presentations and patients presenting with head and neck lumps and sleep apnoea
- Explain a practical approach to the assessment and management of epistaxis in general practice
