This talk presented by Paediatricians Dr Anna Elder and Dr Phoebe Loxton from the OHS, will provide a practical overview of the diagnosis and management of ADHD in children and adolescents within an outpatient setting. The presentation will review current diagnostic criteria, the assessment process, common co-occurring conditions and pharmacological management including medication selection, titration, monitoring and management of adverse effects.
This education activity will enable GPs to:
- Recognise the clinical features of ADHD in children and adolescents
- Understand current diagnostic and screening assessments for the diagnosis of ADHD
- Understand evidence based management of ADHD
