Western NSW PHN Partners with Florence to Support Nurse Career Growth

Western NSW PHN is proud to be a launch partner for Florence ” a new free app designed to support nurses across rural and regional Australia with their professional development and career journey.

Developed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), Florence puts nurses in control of their CPD and growth, offering personalised recommendations, tracking tools, and career-building opportunities ” all in one platform.

Thanks to this partnership, nurses in the Western NSW region will receive early access to Florence before it becomes publicly available.

What Florence Can Do:

  • Provide CPD recommendations tailored to your clinical setting
  • Track formal and informal learning in line with Ahpra standards
  • Benchmark your growth and explore areas of opportunity
  • Set goals and measure progress
  • Connect with relevant opportunities including mentoring, research and jobs

Built with nurse input and backed by APNA’s Career and Education Frameworks, Florence is a new tool to support nurses at every stage of their career.

Why It Matters in Western NSW

We know that nurses in Western NSW often face additional barriers due to remoteness and workforce pressures. Florence helps break down those barriers by making learning and career planning accessible and tailored ” no matter where you’re located.

We’re excited to help our local nurses get a head start. Keep an eye on our newsletter for more information.
