Tender open – Head to Health Centre Dubbo and Satellite Service Bathurst

WNSW PHN is seeking experienced service providers to create and support a Head to Health Centre in Dubbo and a Satellite Service in Bathurst. This is a bi-lateral initiative from Department of Health and Aged Care and the NSW Ministry of Health. This new approach is to support better mental health and social wellbeing within the Western NSW region and ease the burden of the hospitals.

The Head to Health Centre and Satellite Service is an addition to the initial eight adult mental health centres that were trialled across the country, one located in each state and territory.

The vision of WNSW PHN is to contract a service provider that has the capability and time to set up the Centre and / or Satellite and ensure that they are welcoming, safe and inclusive.

The Centre and Satellite will connect people to the right support when and where it is needed. This includes:

  • immediate mental health support for people in distress,
  • timely short-term support to meet mental health and well-being requirements,
  • help access to local support within mental health
  • provide information, referrals, and navigation of services to people seeking mental health support for themselves, their carer’s and their loved ones.

Additionally, Head to Health services will aim to reduce the burden on the public hospital system and provide more accessible services to those requiring mental health support, their carers and their families. Services will be delivered in a culturally safe environment to increase accessibility for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and members of the LGBTIA+ communities.

Please ensure you have at least two members of your organisation registered with Tenderlink for the application process.

Submissions close on the 16 February 2024.
