In the face of steeply rising COVID-19 case numbers, there have been numerous changes in relation to the diagnosis and management of COVID-19 positive patients.
This session aims to provide an update regarding these changes and outline local processes available to support GPs in the WNSW PHN region to enable safe care of COVID-19 positive patients.
Key discussion points will be:
- Management of RAT positive and PCR positive patients
- When and how to refer patients for Sotrovimab treatment
- Indications for Budesonide therapy
- Accessing COVID-19 patient resources
- How to access specialist advice for COVID-19 management
- How to escalate care for the clinically deteriorating COVID-19 positive patient
- Managing healthcare worker exposures
