COVID-19 case numbers are expected to rise steeply as Public Health restrictions are gradually lifted over these next 2 months. It will be necessary for GP teams and hospital teams to work together to provide care for COVID-10 positive patients. In particular, GPs in Western NSW will play a key role in the provision of care for: Low and moderate risk cases with COVID-19 infection and Residents of Aged Care Facilities with COVID-19 infection.
This session will outline the GP’s role in the Western NSW model of care for COVID-19 positive patients. This meeting also aims to provide an introduction to HealthPathways guidelines and monitoring tools to assist with management of COVID-19 positive patients in their own homes and in Residential Aged care Facilities.
This session also aims to create a space to briefly discuss end-of-life care in the setting of COVID-19 infection and an opportunity for Q&A with local COVID-19 clinician panel.
