The Centre for Healthcare, Knowledge & Innovation invites health practitioners and professionals working in general practice and mental health to attend a workshop led by distinguished international scholars, and with a particular focus on access to psychiatry.
Learn what’s working nationally and internationally.Discover the pillars of the Central California Psychiatry Model and work in groups to develop a model for implementation within the NSW context.
Workshop participants include consumers with lived experience, clinicians, social services, allied health and mental health practitioners, PHN and LHD staff.
Gain understanding and insight into national and international models for access to psychiatry
Improve the capacity and scope of work of mental health in general practice
Develop a mental health/psychiatry model of care relevant to the Australian context and culture
- Strengthen cross-agency relationships to better deliver mental health care and social services
