The Stratford Scholarship is a new, national opportunity for an emerging Peer leader from diverse and intersectional backgrounds who want to be part of transformational change in their community.

Mind Australia is seeking expressions of interest from the Peer Workforce and emerging Peer leaders to apply either individually, or as a group. Potential outcomes of the scholarship might include discipline specific supervision, leadership development training, peer led innovations and development of new initiatives.

The Stratford Scholarship and lecture has been established to honour Anthony Stratford’s contributions to the Peer Workforce.

Anthony Stratford was a pioneer in the lived experience movement in Australia. He dedicated his life to advocating for a recovery and lived experience approach to supporting people with mental health and wellbeing challenges. The Expression of Interest for the scholarship is open to an emerging Peer leader from diverse and intersectional backgrounds to support their leadership development.

Applications close on 7 February 2024 and shortlisted applicants will be notified of the next steps shortly after.
